Welcome to the No.VI Chop! You may notice a few small changes here and there as you look around the dining room. We’re excited to tell you that there will be plenty more over the next month.

One thing that won’t be changing is the excellent food and service you’ve come to expect over the last two decades. The menu, however, has changed in dramatic fashion and that’s just part of the story.

When the chophouse started in 1997, we were the first restaurant in southeastern Michigan to offer all USDA Prime steaks.

Today, we’re proud to announce to you that we’re the first in the country to offer all 100% American Wagyu cuts of beef.

We’ve partnered with FARM FIELD TABLE out of Ferndale to create a steak program that is out of this world. First, we’re buying whole cows from Michigan farmers which will allow you to experience steak like you’ve never had before. We encourage you to experiment and try different cuts that you will not find anywhere else. Many of these cuts are limited in number per steer. You may find a new favorite!

Secondly, we’ll be bringing in ingredients from our farm, Big Red Orchard located in Macomb County, to compliment many of the dishes.

We hope to see you often as we continue to promote sustainability both on the farm and on the ranches of Michigan.

The Service Experience

Some things never go out of style and great service is a fine example. We hire seasoned staff and train them to bring our guests a level of fine dining service that is a rare experience in todays world. Our servers have been educated to offer recommendations on our unique cuts of meat as well as wine and spirit recommendations to offer guests a personalized experience to fit their particular taste.

We have made a commitment to our customers and local farmers to use all Michigan Meat from farms we trust and as much in-season local produce as possible!

The Meat

We purchase whole Wagyu cows from Sugarbush Cattle Farm in Allen, Michigan. Sugarbush cows are happy and healthy. The farm allows their cattle plenty of space to roam and enjoy freedom,

The herd is antibiotic free and hormone free to produce the choicest of beef to our diners.

The Produce

As the ownership entity of Big Red Orchard in Washington, MI we grow much of what we serve ourselves! We also rely on other trusted local farmers as supply partners. This ensures that you, the customer, receive the freshest food and support local growers!

The Epicurean group is well known for the quality of their restaurants and superior catering for the past twenty years. Under new ownership the company is taking an enthusiastic farm to table approach to supporting Michigan farmers and growers resulting in the freshest of ingredients in our recipes.
