Executive Chef Tim Maraj learned everything he knows on the job. His first restaurant job was as a dishwasher at Buddy’s pizza, and he has worked his way up the ladder the old-fashioned way ever since. He catered weddings for five years as a sous chef in Plymouth and later worked at a fine dining restaurant as a front of the house manager. His experience in the kitchen as well as on the dining room floor help Tim envision the broader picture and plan ahead.
While working as sous chef at Kickstand Brewery he helped design menu items, and found his business and marketing degrees helpful. Tim also studied accounting, and these skills give him a unique, practical perspective in the kitchen. He was drawn to the culinary side of the restaurant because he enjoys the fast-paced and hands-on nature of the industry.
When he’s not at work, Tim plays guitar and is a singer-songwriter. He’s been writing songs since he was ten years old.
